Cauldron Bubbles

Cauldron BubblesHere’s a quick look at an animated short I’ve been helping out on. Cauldron Bubbles is a student project from some of the talented people in the UT Dallas ATEC program. I’ve been working with Eddie Taylor and his team for a while now as they finish up the animation and start putting together all of the lighting and composition. This little bit looks fantastic, but it’s barely a glimpse at the awesome work these guys have been putting in. It should be quite a treat and it’s been an honor and a joy to be a part of this project. You can watch a teaser here.

Galaxy for Hire WIP Audio

Galaxy for Hire Around late 2010, some friends of mine started an independent game project as part of our graduate studies at UT Dallas. Initially it was going to be something of a MOBA. As time went on, the idea morphed and eventually became a multiplayer hero-based tower defense game. I’ve been working on this project as its sound designer since its inception and it’s been a lot of fun. Trying to solve some interesting problems that arise when you’re working with the free version of UDK and trying to make an isometric game rather than an FPS has been a great experience regardless of how frustrating it can be.

The game has changes somewhat and I the general scope has been trimmed down some since the Kickstarter campaign didn’t make its funding goals. So what you see in this video may not be a indicative of the final game, but it has a pretty good amount of the sound design I put into the current incarnation.
